In Moldovan prisons the educational program for peer-to-peer consultants is being prepared for accreditation.
The NGO «Initiativa Pozitiva» (Chisinau, Moldova) received recommendations from the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova (ANACEC) for the accreditation of the educational program. The ANACEC`s report is based on the visits by representatives of the Agency to penitentiary institutions and contains clear recommendations.
The accreditation process was initiated by the NGO «Initiativa Pozitiva» in cooperation with the National Administration of Penitentiaries (NAP) and representatives of the penitentiary institutions in 2022.
The NGO «Initiativa Pozitiva» has years of experience training peer-to-peer consultants in Moldovan prisons. Prisoners who will successfully complete the training will be certified according to the accredited program.
The activity is provided within the multicountry project «Sustainability of Services for Key Populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia region», funded by the CO «100% LIFE».
